In case when both fallopian tubes are blocked completely or when female suffers from severe endometriosis or in the case when the male (husband) has very small number of motile and normal sperms. Also in instances of reasons due to which the fertilization does not occur in outer part of the fallopian tube. HOW IT IS ACHIEVED? Under the guidance of sonography the eggs from the female partner is retrieved out of the ovaries with the help of a needle. It is done under anesthesia, hence not painful. The egg is then kept in a dish where in there is similar environment as in the womb. The sperms are seprated form the semen sample, provided by the male partner. The healthiest sperms are processed and mixed with the eggs and then kept in incubator for 48 hours to 72 hours. For blastocyst transfer, we do it for 120 hrs (5 days). HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?
